Parade of Floats 2010

WOW! About 2 months ago, our Chair, Penny, said to me “do you think we should have a float at Stamford Festival?” and of course, my response was “Yes!”. After a lot of planning, measuring, building, amending and painting, we’ve done it!

Penny & I would like to say a huge thank you to the people who helped and joined in - it looked fantastic!

Apart from the fun element, our aim was to promote the 100th Birthday of The Bandstand, and the many events that we’re doing to celebrate it, along with the Spend-a-Penny Campaign for facilities at The Rec. We gave out hundreds of flyers and really raised the awareness of our group.
